Retiring in Vietnam

Hello all, my husband and I are Americans. I was born in Vietnam but grew up in the U.S. We are thinking of retiring in Vietnam. I heard that retirees can earn a pretty income by teaching English. I consider myself as a native English speaker since I speak English fluently and much better than my native Vietnamese. Do you have to have a teaching certification to teach English in Vietnam? For housing... is rent or buying recommended? How easy is it to rent/buy a home in Vietnam? Where would be a good location for retirees to live/work in Vietnam (e.g., HCM City, Vung Tau, Hanoi, Nha Trang, etc.)? Thanks!

Hi,

If you are looking for long-term living in Vietnam, please check my idea for you at: https://www.facebook.com/villassaigon?ref=hl and Dropbox link at https://www.dropbox.com/s/mzzk9seijcb2c7q/LAKEVIEW%20VILLAS%20online.pdf?dl=0. We are a compound villa in district 09, the place is very beautiful and very quite. It's really good for your achievements.
